Own It and Run It
You want to sell something, or you already are, and now there is a pile of questions nobody answers in words you can use.
Here is the thing about those questions. The answers are public. They are free. They are sitting on government sites and in the terms of service you scrolled past. The reason you cannot find them is that every page explaining them is written for an adult who has a lawyer.
So that is what this site is. The same facts, in plain words, with the official wording printed right next to it so you can check that I am not making it up.
Two things you will hear a lot here.
You probably do not need to buy anything. Not a company, not a licence, not a course. The pages telling you otherwise are mostly written by people who sell those things. Where you genuinely do need something, this site says so.
The real wall is not whether you are allowed to run a business. It is getting paid. Almost everything that moves money to a person stops at 18. That is not a rule you can get around, and this site will never tell you how to try. It is a thing you plan for, with an adult, and there is a whole section on doing exactly that.
I am a writer, not a lawyer or an accountant. A lot of this changes depending on which state you live in. Every page shows you where its answer came from, so you can go and read the real thing.
